From the start I knew I wasn’t the type of bride to want a traditional wedding. At first, I wasn’t sure what the day would end up looking like, but my husband and I knew we wanted it to be about us. We landed on eloping, and where better to do that than Las Vegas? I mean, the last time we went to Vegas, we got engaged, so it was perfect!

Next up, we had to think about the vibe. We were looking for a classic, vintage feel that was a little edgy, but reminiscent of the Vegas of the past. We chose A Little White Wedding Chapel (the iconic spot that married celebrities like Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, Britney Spears, and more recently – after us – J.Lo and Ben Affleck). With the chapel’s garden feel, pink Cadillac, and painted ceilings, it was perfect for us. So we set the date, chose our photographer – the talented Andi Artigue, to capture us on our day.

We started the day getting ready at the NoMad hotel, another spot that felt very us with its homey/vintage décor and furniture. My hair and make-up were done by Ruby Finch Salon (artist: @arlethegiselle).

We got ready together in our hotel room, which was absolutely so special. We then headed to the chapel, got married in the gazebo, just us two, the officiant and our photographer as the witness. We shared vows we both wrote to each other, and it was perfect. After the ceremony, we had an amazing time taking some pictures to commemorate the day, from the Vegas streets, to the Neon Museum and a classic vintage photobooth. At the end of the day, we enjoyed the most delicious dinner at Carbone. Truly one of the best days of our lives <3

As for my dress – oh boy was I happy I found Silk Row. I cannot recommend you enough to any bride. I had the best experience shopping for my dress with you. I had a fairly good idea going into the shopping experience what dress I was looking for, I had the cowboy boots from Free People already picked out! But the shop still had an impeccable selection to choose from. I brought my family with me to the appointment, and they all picked out dresses they would have liked to see me in, which was so fun. I knew I wanted a shorter, long sleeve dress, which I found the perfect Daughters of Simone one at the shop, but what I also found there that you recommended was my CAPE. Oh, the cape! When my husband first saw it on our wedding day, he could not get over how cool it was. For a non-traditional bride, this was perfect. I could take it on and off throughout the day easily, and still have fun twirling it around and feel classic. And with the pearl detailing, I was in love.

We also purchased the stunning gold, western style earrings from Silk Row that matched my vibe.

Thank you Silk Row for putting together my look <3
